KOTUG International is thrilled to announce our participation in Shell’s unveiling of the first Mega Watt Charger for marine and road transport on 17th June 2024 at the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam (ETCA).
As the pioneers of the first fully electric pusher tug in commercial service, we have been utilising AC overnight charging at our client locations. We are eagerly looking forward to start utilising the new Mega Watt Charger in our E-Pusher series.
The development of the MegaWatt charger marks a significant milestone for the marine sector, drastically increasing charging speed and introducing crucial standardisation (MCS). This innovation integrated in our E-Pusher series will enhance the flexibility and efficiency of operations, propelling the electrification of marine transportation forward.
We are eager to witness this groundbreaking technology in action and discuss its potential to accelerate the transition to emission-free freight transport, aligning with the EU’s 2050 and the Netherlands’ 2030 targets for green and emission-free water transport.
