Bahamas
KOTUG’s presence in The Bahamas began in 2017 with the launch of KOTUG Seabulk Maritime (KSM)—a strategic joint venture with Seabulk Towing, created to deliver high-performance towage services at the Buckeye Bahamas Hub in Freeport, the largest petroleum products terminal in the Western Hemisphere. This partnership laid the groundwork for a strong and reliable operational footprint in the Caribbean, driven by innovation, safety, and local engagement.
On March 1st, 2025, KOTUG marked a key milestone by taking full operational control of KSM, following the conclusion of Seabulk’s Ship Management Agreement. This transition reflects KOTUG’s long-term commitment to the region and reinforces its vision for sustainable, future-proof maritime operations. In the months that followed, KOTUG seamlessly integrated its ICT-based management systems, strengthening performance and ensuring the continued delivery of smart maritime solutions at one of the region’s most vital energy hubs.
