OPERATIONS

 

Kotug operates more than a dozen tugs in Port Hedland. She is responsible for the technical management and crewing of the towage operations of the vessels. 

 

Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, is the site of the highest tonnage port in Australia. It has a natural deep anchorage harbour which, and is  the main fuel and container receival point for the region. Perfect for shipment of the iron ore being mined in the ranges located inland from town.

The port has five operating berths and is capable of efficiently exporting more than 170mtpa. Kotug’s tug fleet provides safe and reliable towage services that will maximise efficiencies at the  port operations.
